High School Environmental Science Internship 2023-24

The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo is once again hosting a volunteer internship for local high school juniors and seniors. The High School Environmental Science Internship is intended to provide students considering a career in environmental conservation and management with a variety of field experiences as well as meet professionals involved in restoring and maintaining Orange County's cultural and natural resources. Speakers in the past have been geologists, biologists specializing in habitat restoration, arborists and hydrologists. Interns will practice various skills such as data collection and interpretation and take their experiences to produce a social media post on their experience for our Facebook and Instagram feed. Application will begin in September after the new school year begins so keep an eye out on our website and social media feeds for the announcement and details.
